Prince’s Home Paisley Park Will Open for Public Viewing This Fall

Fans around the globe will soon be able to get an up-close and personal glimpse inside Prince‘s private life in a whole new way.

The late singer’s massive Minneapolis compound, Paisley Park, will soon be open to the public for viewing, his estate revealed Wednesday evening.

And according to the iconic singer’s sister, Tyka Nelson, turning the grounds into a museum similar to Elvis Presley‘s Graceland was something that has been a long time coming for Paisley Park.

“Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on,” she said in a statement in the press release.

“Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime. Now fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince’s world for the first time, as we open the doors to this incredible place.”

The press release also added that the official Paisley Park museum will “offer fans a unique experience, an exhibition like no other, as Prince would have wanted it.”

“Most important, the museum will display Prince’s genius, honor his legacy, and carry forward his strong sense of family and community.”

Fans will be able to take guided tours throughout the main floor of the compound, which includes the recording and mixing studios where Prince worked extensively, as well as view thousands of never-before-seen artifacts from the legend’s life.

Tickets will go on sale here on August 26 at 2 p.m. CT for the opening date of October 6.
